Continuing RBG's Legacy
The Idaho Women Lawyers partners with community organizations to promote access to justice and protecting rights of others. In 2022, IWL hosted a fundraiser, honoring Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, to support the new education center for the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights. This comprehensive human rights education center will feature a tribute wall honoring Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Displayed on this wall will be a sculpture by Boise artist Benjamin Victor titled “Transcendent Justice”. The reception featured remarks from the artist about his process and inspiration, information about the Wassmuth Center’s mission, community-building activities, a silent auction, and an opportunity to reflect on Justice Ginsburg’s legacy.
All Rise: IWL's Biennial Gala
The Idaho Women Lawyers Biennial Gala honors innovators, rising stars, leaders, volunteers, and those who have made extraordinary efforts to promote equal rights and opportunities for women in the Idaho legal community.
In 2022, the Gala was focused on the central theme of “All Rise” and honored the past sacrifices and future commitments of women in the Idaho Bar.
Burn Bright, Not Out: IWL's Retreat
The Idaho Women Lawyers Biennial Member Retreat offers attendees an opportunity to break away from their daily routine, build relationships, learn together, and have fun! The 2023 IWL Biennial Member Retreat will be held in May 2023 at The Limelight Hotel in Ketchum. The retreat’s theme is “Burn Bright, Not Out.”
Programming will include presentations on mindfulness, leadership, vicarious trauma, career trajectories, and systemic solutions. The retreat will also include various community-building activities, receptions, exercise opportunities, and meet-ups.
